Chugging Along

Over the past month we have made alot of progress in wedding planning. All of the vendors are booked! Invitations went out weeks ago and RSVPs have been coming in steadily. This week we had the final floral meeting. I am really excited to see how they come out! Christy is going for a seasonal look that incorporates natural elements and different textures. Here is one of the inspiration pictures we used.

We aren't trying to recreate this bouquet but it helps to give an idea. Her textural elements will be more subtle and less predominant.

The next couple of weeks we are making lots of detail decisions as the wedding is now less than two months away!

Fast Planning

Congratulations to my sister in law Christy and her new fiance, Nick, for getting engaged over the weekend! They have opted out of the normal 9 month+ engagement period and have decided to get married in 96 days, February 19th.

Over the weekend I offered to help if she needed any assistance and in the process became their unofficial wedding planner. So over the past 24 hours I have contacted numerous vendors, browsed wedding websites, scanned invitations and have been back into wedding mode. Planning a full on wedding in 3 months is something I have never done but I'm thinking we are going to be able to do it.

1 Year Anniversary

Over the weekend we celebrated our 1 year anniversary. We didn't make big plans but just spent the day together. It was a wonderful day! And instead of pulling out frozen year old cake we had our baker make us the same cake we had at our wedding.

Hello Stranger

Hello Long Lost Friends. It has been awhile, I know. The past 8 months I have been focused on living life versus blogging about it. Also now that the wedding is over and so is my sister's the focus on weddings has dimmed. I still love all things wedding but it is no longer my life's focus. Thus I will continue to blog when I find great ideas or the inspiration hits. I appreciate those of you who have checked back regularly!

If you would like to follow me more regularly you can find me over at Presidential Living.
